A vibrant rally and workers' gathering marked International Workers' Day in Lakshmipur on Friday afternoon. Organized by the District Sramik Dal (Workers' Party), the procession began at North Temuhani, paraded through the city's main thoroughfares, and concluded at South Temuhani.

Abul Khair Bhuiyan, Member of Parliament for Lakshmipur-2, addressed the gathering as the chief guest. Other prominent attendees included District Sramik Dal President Adv. Saiful Islam Shahin, General Secretary Abul Hasan Sohel, and various leaders from the Upazila and Municipal BNP units.

Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of strengthening the organization at the grassroots level. They recalled the legacy of late President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia, noting their pride in identifying with the working class.

The leaders also highlighted the sacrifices of Sramik Dal members over the past two decades, stating that despite facing arrests, imprisonment, and physical hardship during various political movements, the labor leaders remained steadfast and loyal to the party.
