Government Committed to July Charter: PM Tarique Rahman

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman reaffirmed today that the democratic government is fully committed to implementing every pledge of its election manifesto and the "July Charter."

Speaking at the District Commissioners' (DC) Conference at Osmani Memorial Auditorium on Sunday, May 3, the Prime Minister emphasized that these promises would be fulfilled in stages. "There is no room for doubt regarding our commitment to the people," he stated.

Addressing the DCs and Divisional Commissioners, the Prime Minister described them as the vital bridge between the government and the public. He noted that the success of national initiatives depends largely on their honesty, efficiency, and dedication.

"The people have long sought accountable, welfare-oriented governance," he said. "They expect to see that desire reflected in every action the government takes."

The Prime Minister identified efficient management and accountability as the pillars of statecraft. He directed officials to Simplify the judicial process for citizens, Ensure government services are free from harassment, Provide equal opportunities for all.

Strict directives were issued regarding the following Maintaining communal harmony and public safety. Combating drug abuse and food adulteration. Eliminating child marriage and violence against women and children. Increasing the visibility and frequency of mobile court operations.

Looking toward the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Prime Minister Rahman urged the administration to embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation to enhance transparency. He also called for a focus on youth skill development, technology-based employment, and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship.

The Prime Minister concluded with a "Bangladesh First" call to action, urging all officials to work solely in the national interest.
