Prime Minister Tarique Rahman officially inaugurated the "July People’s Uprising Memorial Museum" in Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Wednesday unveiling its foundation plaque at 9:00 a.m.

Following the ceremony, Prime Minister toured the museum's galleries alongside invited guests. The exhibitions feature a comprehensive collection of photographs, historical documents and memorandums that meticulously chronicle the events, struggles and momentum of the July mass uprising.

The inauguration event was attended by government ministers, senior civil and military officials and relatives of the martyrs. Built as a national tribute, the museum is dedicated to preserving the history and sacrifices of the July People's War with ensuring that future generations understand the profound historical significance of the democratic movement.

While Wednesday's viewing was reserved exclusively for dignitaries and the families of the martyrs, the museum will officially open its doors to the general public starting Thursday, August 6.
