PM to Inaugurate July Uprising Memorial Museum Tomorrow

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the 'July Uprising Memorial Museum' tomorrow August 5 marking the anniversary of the historic mass uprising. The museum aims to preserve the legacy memories and sacrifices of the movement.

Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury announced the event details during a press briefing at the Secretariat on Tuesday. State Minister for Cultural Affairs Ali Newaz Mahmud Khayyam and Prime Ministerial Advisor Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman also attended.

The Prime Minister will unveil the museum’s inaugural plaque at 9:00 a.m. before touring its galleries and exhibitions. The ceremony will center on the voices of the movement featuring personal accounts from July Uprising fighters and the families of martyrs. Additionally a documentary detailing the movement’s background, widespread public participation and ultimate victory will be screened.

The event will conclude with a cultural program featuring patriotic songs and recitations by prominent national artists. Attendees will include government officials, diplomats academicians political figures uprising participants and media representatives.
