


The Chittagong Education Board has published a revised schedule for the postponed 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations. According to a notification signed by Examination Controller Professor Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury on Tuesday (August 4) the rescheduled written exams will begin on August 20 while practical examinations will be held between September 9 and 18.
The revised routine starts with English (Compulsory) Second Paper on August 20, followed by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on August 22. Physics First Paper, Accountancy First Paper and Logic First Paper will be held on August 24, with their respective second papers on August 27.
Other key exams include Geography Paper I on August 29 and Paper II on August 31, while Arabic and Pali papers will be held in the afternoon on the same dates. Chemistry, Islamic History and Culture History Home Management and Family Life, and Production Management and Marketing First Papers are scheduled for September 2 with second papers on September 5. Economics and Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice First Papers will take place on September 7 followed by their second papers on September 9.
Morning exams will run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and afternoon exams from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Candidates must arrive at their examination centres at least 30 minutes before the start of each exam.
The board advised students to contact their respective institutions or examination centres for practical exam details and noted that the schedule may be revised if necessary.
