Hero Alam Arrested on Charges of Attempting to Murder Former Wife

Popular Bangladeshi content creator Hero Alam has been arrested by police in connection with a case filed by his former wife, Ria Monir, alleging attempted murder and assault.

Hero Alam was apprehended at his office in Ulon, Hatirjheel, on Saturday. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Tejgaon Deputy Commissioner Ibne Mizan confirmed the arrest and stated that Alam was subsequently sent to court under a warrant, according to reports.

According to the case statement, the couple was experiencing marital conflict, during which Alam reportedly forced Ria out of their home. The complaint alleges that Alam later summoned Ria to a flat in Hatirjheel under the pretense of pursuing a settlement. There, Ria claims she was severely assaulted by two named suspects in the case, along with 10–12 unidentified individuals, with the intention of killing her.

The accused also allegedly stole the gold chain she was wearing. The police action follows the filing of the case by his former wife, Ria Monir, concerning the alleged incident.
