Samsung Electronics’ management and its South Korean workers’ union have agreed to resume discussions on bonuses, the union announced Tuesday.
The union represents nearly 90,000 employees, more than 70% of Samsung’s South Korean workforce. Last week, union members voted to authorize a strike, raising concerns over potential disruptions at the world’s largest memory chipmaker.
The renewed talks aim to prevent any production interruptions and reach a mutually acceptable agreement on bonuses.
