State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam has warned that no concessions will be made for obstructing the country’s development projects.

Minister made the remarks as the chief guest at a memorial meeting and prayer mahfil organized by the local BNP on Monday afternoon to mark the 19th death anniversary of former BNP Secretary General and minister KM Obaidur Rahman.

Shama Obaed said strict action will be taken against those trying to gain personal benefits in offices, courts, or other places by misusing KM Obaidur Rahman’s name. She added that letters have already been sent to relevant government departments.

She praised KM Obaidur Rahman as a strong leader who never compromised with injustice and urged party leaders and activists to strengthen organizational activities for the development of both the party and the country.

Leaders and activists from district and upazila levels attended the event, which concluded with prayers for the late KM Obaidur Rahman.
