


Police arrested three suspected members of a robbery gang with weapons while they were allegedly preparing for a robbery in Bheramara.
The arrests were made early Monday in Mokarimpur Union, in front of a local mosque, based on a tip-off. According to police, a group of seven suspects had gathered at the spot. Four managed to flee when officers arrived, while three were detained.
The arrested are Siam Sardar (25), Tanvir Alam Himel (27), and Shamsuddin Ahmed Telu (26), residents of Bheramara and nearby areas.
Police recovered a firearm, bullets, sharp weapons, an iron pipe, a mobile phone, a bottle of liquor, and a private car from their possession.
Officer-in-Charge of Bheramara Police Station Muhammad Jahedur Rahman said the suspects were arrested with weapons and sent to court. Efforts are underway to arrest the remaining suspects.
