Former Bollywood actor and beauty queen Celina Jaitly has opened up about a harrowing legal and emotional battle with her husband, Austrian businessman Peter Haag. Jaitly, who returned to India in October 2025, claims she has been entirely cut off from her three sons and alleges they are being "brainwashed" against her.
After marrying Haag in 2011 and living in Austria for over a decade, Jaitly says she fled the country to escape "systemic mistreatment." She arrived in India with minimal financial security and is currently fighting multiple legal battles regarding child custody and property rights.
Allegations of alienation and control Despite a joint custody ruling by an Austrian court, Jaitly asserts she has been denied all communication with her sons—Winston, Viraj, and Arthur. "There has been repeated interference with my children’s access to me... including brainwashing and intimidation to compel them to say things against me," the actor stated. She further alleged that continued access to her children was unfairly made conditional upon her accepting menial work in a small Austrian village, a move she views as an attempt to strip her of professional dignity.
Legal and financial struggles The actor also revealed that she was served divorce papers under "deceptive circumstances" in September 2025. She claims she was lured to a post office under the guise of collecting a 15th-anniversary gift, only to be handed legal notices.
Back in India, Jaitly had to seek court intervention to enter her own home in Mumbai, purchased in 2004. She alleges Haag is attempting to claim the property while she is forced into debt to fund her legal defense. Jaitly maintains that financial control and jurisdictional barriers are being used as tools of coercion against her.
Peter Haag, an entrepreneur in the hospitality industry, has not yet issued a public response to these specific allegations. The case highlights the significant challenges of international custody disputes and the personal toll of high-profile marital breakdowns.
