A frontline July warrior named Abrar Nadim Itu (27) has voluntarily applied for withdrawal of name from government gazette and all kinds of facilities in Faridpur. His gazette number is 2489.
He submitted this application for withdrawal of name at Faridpur Deputy Commissioner's office on Thursday (October 30) afternoon.
At that time, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Sohrab Hossain accepted the application on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner (DC).
In the application submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, Abrar Nadim Itu, one of the coordinators of July Warrior and Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Faridpur, mentioned, 'I was injured in the July logical movement. But I am sad to note that the current interim government and local governments, which wanted to build a country free of corruption and looting in July, have not been able to last more than 1 year and have not been able to take effective steps.
Various inconsistent activities of the interim government and political parties are also noticeable.
He further mentioned, 'Especially in Faridpur, irregularities continue as before in various administrative and various sectors. Not a single syndicate has been broken, and irregularities have not stopped, which you are all aware of. Therefore, I have withdrawn my name from the government gazette and officially withdrawn my monthly allowance (although I did not receive it).'
In the afternoon, Itu posted from his own Facebook ID, "The Awami League government withheld my father's pension money for 2 years and despite going to various high levels of this interim government, nothing has been done. I just said this as my personal opinion, but most sectors of the country are in the same situation. No situation has changed. So I withdrew my name from all these government gazettes and withdrew all the facilities including the monthly allowance (although there is none).
My recognition to you. The cooperation, love and support that you always give is my everything."
In this regard, July fighter Abrar Nadeem Itu said, "I cannot see any reflection of what we protested for. Our own arrangements are going on all around. The current interim government and local governments have not been able to maintain the spirit of July, which wanted to build a country free of corruption and looting, for more than 1 year and have not been able to take any effective steps. So I have requested to withdraw my name from the government gazette and withdraw my name from the facilities."
Confirming the receipt of the application, Faridpur Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Sohrab Hossain said, "We have received the application to voluntarily withdraw the name from the July government gazette and all kinds of facilities. We will take steps to take further action on it."
