Rooftop Stunt Halts Dhaka Metro: Two Climbers Force Full Service Suspension

Metro rail services were unexpectedly suspended for the remainder of the day on the evening of November 30th after a major safety breach.

The disruption began at approximately 8:05 PM when two individuals were observed climbing onto the roof of a moving train near the Bangladesh Secretariat station.

Following the incident, metro rail operations were immediately halted. At around 9:00 PM, the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) the metro rail authorities formally announced that services would remain suspended for the rest of the night.

The authorities issued an apology to commuters for the significant inconvenience caused by the security violation.
