A Khatme Quran, prayer and Milad mahfil was held in Bashkhali, Chattogram, praying for the recovery, recovery and longevity of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

On Sunday (November 30) morning, the prayer mahfil was organized by the Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations at the Khankhanabad Government Primary School grounds in the upazila. Former Joint General Secretary of the Chhatra Dal Central Parliament Mofizur Rahman Ashiq was the chief guest.

At that time, the prayer mahfil was presided over by former Joint Convener of the Upazila Jubo Dal Jalal Uddin, and BNP leader Abul Hashem, Upazila Jubo Dal leader Junaidul Karim, Ashraf Ali, Chhatra Dal leader Tausif and leaders of BNP and affiliated organizations were present.

In his speech as the chief guest, Mofizur Rahman Ashiq said, "Former successful Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia was always uncompromising in the interests of the country. The dictatorial murderer Hasina had kept her in an abandoned prison for a long time. Despite various illnesses, she was again placed under house arrest. She was released when the dictatorial Hasina fell on August 5. Our leader was tortured so brutally that she was unable to recover and stand by the BNP leaders and activists. Despite all this torture, she did not leave the country and its leaders and activists. Begum Khaleda Zia is a symbol of our hope and trust. Her recovery is very necessary for the democracy-loving people of the country." He also said, "Democracy leader Khaleda Zia is the protector of Bangladesh's independence and democracy.

The country needs her very much at this critical juncture. Today, she is undergoing treatment in a critical condition in the hospital. Her recovery is our top priority. At this moment, our main responsibility is to pray for Begum Khaleda Zia." At this time, he called on everyone in the country, regardless of party affiliation, to pray for Khaleda Zia's recovery.'
