Parents’ Gathering and Prayer Mahfil Held at Shantiganj Iqra Madrasa

Iqra Ideal Dakhil Madrasa hosted its first parents’ gathering and prayer mahfil on Sunday at the madrasa hall in Chandapur, Paschim Pagla Union.

The event, held at 11:00 AM, was presided over by Kazi Md. Jamirul Islam Momtaz, President of the Shantiganj Press Club and Damodhartap Mahmudpur Dakhil Madrasa. Delwar Hossain, Principal of Alhera Academy, moderated the session.

Maulana Abdus Salam Al Madani, former Principal of Gobindanagar Fazlia Fazil Madrasa, attended as the chief guest, while Advocate Yasin Khan, Assistant Prosecutor of Sylhet Judge Court, served as the keynote speaker.

Speakers emphasized that the development of an educational institution relies on the synergy between teachers, students, and guardians. They urged parents to ensure their children receive a balanced education—combining modern curriculum with moral and religious values. The committee shared its vision to eventually upgrade the institution to a Kamil (postgraduate) madrasa through community cooperation.

Special guests included Hafez Abu Khaled, Chairman of Shantigonj Development Forum; Maulana Abdul Hakim, Acting Superintendent of Nurullahpur Dakhil Madrasa; and Kazi Nurul Haque, Madrasa Director. Welcome remarks were delivered by Principal Maulana Muhiuddin.

The program concluded with a special prayer led by Maulana Abdus Salam Al Madani. Local residents, including Ustar Ali and Rihan Uddin, were present alongside staff and students.
