


The government has overhauled the leadership of 15 key state agencies and departments, including the Department of Food and the Department of Environment. The Ministry of Public Administration issued 15 separate notifications on Sunday (April 26) confirming these high-level appointments.
All newly appointed heads hold the rank of Additional Secretary. The changes are effective immediately.
The following officers have been moved to lead major directorates:
Department of Food: Md. Jasim Uddin Khan (formerly Ministry of Home Affairs) appointed as Director General.
Department of Environment: Md. Lutfar Rahman (formerly Ministry of Agriculture) appointed as Director General.
Agricultural Marketing: MM Arif Pasha (formerly Land Ministry) appointed as Director General.
Disaster Management: Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun (formerly DG, Jamuka) appointed as Director General.
NID Registration (EC): Abul Hasnat Muhammad Anwar Pasha (formerly Planning Division) appointed as Director General.
Nursing and Midwifery: Dil Afroz (formerly Ministry of Civil Aviation) appointed as Director General.
Non-Formal Education Bureau: Kazi Mohammad Saiful Islam (formerly Ministry of Home Affairs) appointed as Director General.
The reshuffle also includes several chairmen and specialized board leaders:
National Housing Authority: Mohammad Habibur Rahman appointed as Chairman.
Safe Food Authority: Md. Shafiqul Islam appointed as Chairman.
NTRCA: Md. Abdul Hai appointed as Chairman.
Wage Earners' Welfare Board: Md. Asaduzzaman appointed as Director General.
Birth and Death Registration: Hasan Mahmud appointed as Registrar General.
Governance Innovation Unit (PMO): Delwar Hossain appointed as Director General.
Youth Development: Khandaker Anwar Hossain appointed as Director General.
Patents, Designs & Trademarks: ASM Mustafizur Rahman appointed as Director General.
According to the Ministry of Public Administration, these appointments were made in the "public interest" to streamline administrative functions across various sectors.
