Police have arrested three suspects and recovered stolen CCTV equipment following a daring burglary at the Paikgachha Upazila Health Complex. The arrests were made on the night of April 16, just ten days after the incident.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Faisal Goldar (32) and Ramzan Sheikh (33) of Saral village, and Babu alias "Alien Babu" (28) of Batikhali.
According to Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Kibria, a special team led by SI Ayub Ali conducted the operation. During the raid, police recovered a stolen CCTV router and antenna. The office assistant of the health complex, Sarwar Hossain, filed a formal case (Case No. 10, dated 16-04-2026) regarding the theft.
The burglary occurred on the night of April 5, when organized thieves cut through a window grill at the office of the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer. Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed confirmed that a monitor, DVR, and other networking equipment were stolen during the break-in.
The suspects were sent to court on April 17 with a five-day remand application. "We are working around the clock to suppress crime, and all local criminals will be brought to justice," said OC Golam Kibria.
