One arrested with four firearms in DB police raid in Pabna

The District Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a man with four firearms and two rounds of ammunition during an early-morning raid in the Arifpur area of Pabna city today.

Pabna Superintendent of Police (SP) Anwar Zahid confirmed the arrest during a press briefing on Monday afternoon.

Acting on a secret tip-off, a DB team conducted the operation in Arifpur Purbapara. The suspect, identified as Oli Hossain (32), son of Robbel Hossain, was apprehended at his residence with the illegal arms.

According to police, Oli is a workshop mechanic who allegedly used his technical skills to manufacture firearms. Investigations reveal he has been involved in illegal arms trading and providing weapons for criminal activities for an extended period.
