Two Robbers Arrested with Weapons in Daulatkhan, Bhola

The Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two suspected robbers and seized a cache of domestic weapons and ammunition during a midnight raid in Daulatkhan, Bhola.

The arrestees have been identified as Md. Jasim Hawlader (45), son of the late Kashem Hawlader, and Mohammad Jasim Uddin (50), son of the late Mujibur Haque Khandaker. Both reside in wards under the Daulatkhan police station.

Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan, Media Officer of the Coast Guard, confirmed the operation on Monday afternoon. Acting on a tip-off regarding a group preparing for a robbery in the Charniamatpur area, a special team from Coast Guard Base Bhola conducted the raid at midnight.

Security forces recovered one country-made firearm, three live cartridges, one blank cartridge, and two domestic sharp weapons from the suspects. Legal proceedings against the individuals are currently underway.
