The Coast Guard has seized a firearm and live ammunition during a raid in Daulatkhan upazila of Bhola.

On Thursday (May 7), Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan said the operation was conducted around 4 am by Coast Guard Base Bhola based on secret information.

The raid took place at a house near Char Madanpur under Daulatkhan Police Station. During the search, officers recovered one locally made single-barrel gun and three rounds of live ammunition from the residence of Md. Lokman Member, who is listed as an accused in several cases.

No one was arrested as the suspect fled the scene after sensing the presence of the Coast Guard.

Officials said Md. Lokman was earlier arrested by the Coast Guard on April 25, 2025, with weapons. Multiple cases are also pending against him. Legal procedures regarding the recovered weapons and ammunition are ongoing.
