Bogura City Corporation Inaugurated

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived in his home district, Bogura, on Monday morning for a day-long visit packed with developmental and political engagements. This marks his first official visit to the district since assuming the office of Prime Minister following the 2026 general elections.

The Prime Minister departed his Gulshan residence in Dhaka at 6:10 am by road and reached Bogra around 10:00 am.

Administrative Milestone PM Rahman officially unveiled the plaque for the Bogra City Corporation, formally establishing it as the 13th city corporation in Bangladesh.

Legal & Digital Infrastructure He inaugurated the new building for the District Bar Association and launched the e-bail bond system at the Judge’s Court to modernize judicial processes.

Public Health A measles vaccination campaign was launched by the Prime Minister at the Ziaur Rahman Village Hospital in Bagbari, Gabtoli.

Public Engagement A massive public meeting organized by the district BNP is scheduled for 4:00 pm at the historic Altafunnesa playground, where the Prime Minister will address the residents.

Additionally, the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate the new Bogura Press Club building and the reconstruction of the Baitur Rahman Central Mosque. Before returning to Dhaka in the evening, he is scheduled for a brief stop at the Bogra Rural Development Academy (RDA).
