Bogura Preparations are nearing completion for Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s scheduled visit to his home district, Bogura, on April 20. The visit is expected to feature high-profile development inaugurations and a major administrative announcement.

At a press briefing Tuesday at the Bogura Circuit House, State Minister for LGRD Mir Shahe Alam and the PM’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon detailed the itinerary.

The Prime Minister is set to launch the "e-Bailbond" system at the District Judge Court. This digital initiative aims to modernize bail documentation, reducing delays and increasing transparency within the local judiciary. He will also inaugurate the newly built Bar Association building.

A key highlight of the trip will be the formal announcement or inauguration of Bogura City Corporation. Upgrading the municipality to a city corporation has been a long-standing demand from residents, recently cleared by administrative authorities.

In Bagbari, Gabtali Upazila, the Prime Minister will lead a "Family Card" distribution ceremony under the Ministry of Social Welfare. The program is designed to expand the social safety net for low-income households.

The PM is also scheduled to visit "Jia Bari," the ancestral home and birthplace of his father, the late President Ziaur Rahman. Officials noted this segment carries significant personal and symbolic weight.

The day will conclude with a grand public rally at Altafunnesa Playground at 3:00 PM. Local leaders expect a massive turnout as the PM outlines the government’s vision for regional infrastructure and economic growth.

Security has been intensified across the district, with the Special Security Force (SSF) and local police coordinating to ensure a seamless visit. State Minister Mir Shahe Alam remarked that the visit signals an end to years of "developmental neglect" for the district.
