


The first phase of the cluster admission test for the 2025–26 academic year was held in Sunamganj on Friday.
The ‘C’ unit (Business Education) exam took place from 11:00 am at the Sunamganj Textile Institute centre in Shantiganj. The test covered admission to undergraduate programmes under 20 public universities.
Out of 249 registered candidates, 149 attended the one-hour exam, marking an attendance rate of 59.83 percent. The exam was conducted peacefully, with necessary preparations in place.
Several candidates expressed satisfaction with the exam environment and question standard. Examinees Suma Roy and Adilur Rahman said the questions were balanced and the centre environment was supportive.
Proctor of Sunamganj University of Science and Technology, Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdul Latif, said 100 candidates were absent. He confirmed that the exam was completed without disruption.
He added that the remaining cluster exams will be held in phases. The ‘B’ unit (Humanities) exam is scheduled for April 3, while the ‘A’ unit (Science) exam will be held on April 10. In Sunamganj, 1,065 candidates are expected to sit for the ‘B’ unit and 3,685 for the ‘A’ unit.
Nationwide, a total of 284,480 students have applied for the cluster admission test this year. Among them, 166,162 applied for ‘A’ unit, 93,102 for ‘B’ unit, and 25,216 for ‘C’ unit.
Around 13,500 seats are available across the 20 participating universities. The exams are being conducted in MCQ format, each lasting one hour from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at 21 centres nationwide.
The total marks for each test are 100. The minimum pass mark is 30, and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
