The first-year ‘C’ unit admission test under the cluster system for the 2025–26 academic session was held at Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) on Friday in a peaceful environment.

The one-hour exam took place from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon as part of the first phase of a three-stage process. A total of 1,269 candidates were scheduled to sit for the test, of whom 997 participated, recording an attendance rate of 78.57 percent.

The ‘B’ unit exam is scheduled for April 3, while the ‘A’ unit exam will be held on April 10.

The university administration, with support from the district administration, police and other agencies, made extensive preparations to ensure smooth conduct of the exam. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam and Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Shamim Ahsan monitored the process and expressed satisfaction with the overall management.

Facilities included clear room identification for candidates, uninterrupted power supply, fire service readiness and a standby medical team. Seating and drinking water arrangements were also made for guardians.

As part of the national cluster admission system involving 20 universities, the ‘C’ unit exam was conducted at the university campus. While ‘B’ and ‘C’ unit exams are being held at PUST, the ‘A’ unit (Science) exam will take place on April 10 at the university and five additional centres in Pabna city.

The architecture department admission test is scheduled for the same day from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
