Colorful Independence Day Program to be Held in Bashbari, Gazipur

A day-long colorful program has been organized in Bashbari of Gazipur to celebrate the Independence Day, under the initiative of Bhawal Unnayan Sangha, Bashbari.

The event took place on Thursday, March 26, at the Bashbari Government Primary School grounds. The event includes traditional stick fighting (Lathi Khela), tug-of-war (Kachitan Khela), and a cultural program.

According to the organizers, the initiative aims to inspire the younger generation was the spirit of the great independence day and promote cultural and social values in the community.

Md. Shamsul Haque Fakir, former member (Ward-02) of Gazipur Union BNP and former president of Ward No. 1 BNP, attended the program as the Chief Guest.

Among the Special Guests are Enamul Haque Moni, convener member of Gazipur Union BNP and former president of Sreepur Upazila BNP, and Advocate Dabir Ahmed, member secretary of Gazipur Union BNP.

Advocate Shahawat Hossain Bokul, former vice-president and legal affairs secretary of Gazipur Union BNP, inaugurated the programme.

Local dignitaries, social workers, and political leaders, including Abu Bakkar, Kamran Hossain, Ekramul Haque Sumon (teacher representative), Harun Or Rashid, Imran Hossain Masum, and Sharif Ahmed, among others, are expected to attend the event.

The organizers invited all to join the event, which is expected to create a festive atmosphere in the area.
