


In the capital’s Different market on Friday, broiler chicken was sold at Tk.190 per kilogram after Eid Vacation, while other varieties saw higher prices.
Layer chicken was priced at Tk.320, golden chicken at Tk. 360, Pakistani chicken at Tk.390, and local chicken ranged from Tk.550 to Tk.700 per kilogram.
Sellers reported a slight decrease in broiler prices, while other chicken varieties remained stable. Supply was slightly limited, but overall demand and prices were steady.
In the meat market, beef was sold at Tk.750-850 per kg, and goat meat (khasir) at Tk.1,000 per kg, with no significant change in prices.
Fish supply was low, but prices remained largely stable. Current rates are Rui:Tk. 350-420/kg, Katla: Tk. 320-380/kg, Tilapia: Tk. 20-250/kg, Pangas and other large fish: Tk. 300-600/kg, Boal and Chital: Tk.800-1,000/kg, Small shrimp: Tk.300-350/kg, Glass fish: Tk. 450-500/kg, Sland, Pada, Pabda fish: Tk.300-650/kg
The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) reported price reductions for at least ten essentials over the past week, including rice, flour, onions, garlic, ginger, pulses, and broiler chicken. CoaTk.e rice (Gold/China Eri) fell about 54% to Tk. 50-55/kg. Packaged flour dropped to Tk.50-60/kg.
Other price movements of Desi onions: Tk.30-45/kg (down 6.25%), Imported garlic: down 9%, Ginger: down 3%, Raw pepper: decreased slightly, Lemon: down 5%, Eggplant: down 29%.
In the pulse market, small grains dropped 45%, while large mosquito pulse grains rose 63% to Tk.90-105/kg. Loose soybean and palm oil prices remained slightly higher than last month but stable over the past week.
