Legal Notice Seeks Travel Ban on Dr. Yunus

A legal notice has been sent to the relevant government departments seeking a travel ban on Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the former Chief Adviser of the interim government.

Supreme Court lawyer Barrister M. Ashraful Islam sent the notice on Sunday, citing allegations related to the transfer of the measles vaccination system from state management to the private sector.

Confirming the matter to the media, Barrister Ashraful Islam stated that the notice was issued demanding a travel restriction due to Dr. Yunus's alleged involvement in attempting to hand over measles vaccine operations to private hands.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported that 6 more people died of measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, with 1,101 new cases recorded during the same period.

According to official data, a total of 908 people have died nationwide from measles and related symptoms since March 15. Among the deceased, 809 died showing symptoms of measles, while 99 died after being infected with the disease.
