6,000 Litres of Illegal Diesel Seized in Patenga Mobile Court Drive

Authorities seized around 6,000 litres of diesel in a mobile court operation in Patenga, near Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.

The operation was conducted on Friday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, following a tip-off about an illegal fuel storage site. During the drive, officials recovered about 30 drums of diesel.

Three pumps used for loading and unloading fuel were also seized.

Officials said the estimated market value of the recovered diesel and equipment is about Tk 18 lakh.

All seized items have been taken into government custody. Authorities are preparing to file cases against those involved in illegal storage and trading of fuel.

They also said such drives will continue to protect public interest and ensure the safety of state assets.
