


A prayer was held in Kulkathi Union of Nalchiti Upazila of Jhalakathi for the repose of the soul of BNP Chairperson, three-time former Prime Minister and national leader Begum Khaleda Zia.
The prayer was held in front of the Kulkathi Union BNP office on Monday (January 12) at 4 pm, organized by Kulkathi Union BNP, its affiliates and allied organizations.
Kulkathi Union BNP former president and Kulkathi Union former uncontested successful chairman Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj Md. Rafiqul Islam Molla presided over the prayer service. Jhalokati District BNP former president Bir Muktijoddha Mustafa Kamal Montu was present as the chief guest.
District BNP convener Adv. Syed Hossain, Upazila BNP president Adv. Anichur Rahman Helal Khan, former president of the District Student Party Mahabub Alam Khan, convener of the Upazila Volunteer Party Touhid Alam Manna, member secretary Saidul Kabir Rana, joint convener of the Upazila Youth Party Ziaul Kabir Mithu,
Other present were Union BNP President Zulfikar Ali Biswas, General Secretary Khokon Majhi, Union Youth Party President Majid Talukder, President of the Union Volunteer Party Kamal Mallick, General Secretary Sohag Molla, etc.
The speakers at the prayer service said that Begum Khaleda Zia's contribution to establishing democracy and people's voting rights in the country will be remembered forever in history. He was a symbol of uncompromising leadership. He sacrificed his life for the land and people of Bengal. We followed his ideals and carried out a movement to restore democracy. He urged everyone to remain united for the welfare of the country and the nation.
Leaders and activists from various levels of Union BNP organs and associate organizations were present at the prayer service.
The program was moderated by Union Youth Dal former president Mostafizur Rahman Lavlu.
The leaders and activists present at the meeting remembered Begum Khaleda Zia and her long life of struggle with deep respect. The prayer service began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Later, in a special prayer, Mohammad Abdul Quddus, co-superintendent of Hoibatpur Toukathi Dakhil Madrasa, prayed for the forgiveness of Begum Khaleda Zia's soul. At the same time, prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and other BNP leaders, peace, prosperity, restoration of democracy in the country and nation, and good health and longevity of BNP leaders and activists.
