The Shaheed Dr. Fazle Rabbi Foundation distributed free cows to underprivileged families in Atgharia, Pabna, on Thursday (May 7). The initiative, titled "Cow Husbandry Program to Increase the Income of Poor People," was organized in collaboration with the Bangladesh NGO Foundation.
Atgharia Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Farzana Akhter attended the ceremony at the upazila premises as the chief guest. Speaking at the event, she emphasized that the project is a strategic move toward self-reliance rather than simple charity. "This program will play a vital role in securing economic independence for these families," she noted.
The program was chaired by Md. Shariful Alam Raju, Vice President of the Foundation and Assistant Professor at Atgharia Government College. Special guests included Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Nazmul Hossain, and local leaders Ashim Uddin, Ashraful Alam, Akhtaruzzaman Milon, and KM Farhad Hossain Chanchal. The session was moderated by Adv. Mo: Fazle Shaharan Bipu.
