Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) arrested 15 members of the banned Awami League affiliate, Jubo League, on charges of terrorist activities, threatening police, and disrupting public order.

The arrests took place during overnight raids by multiple police stations and the Detective Branch (DB) between 8:00 PM on Sunday (June 21) and noon on Monday (June 22).

GMP sources stated the suspects were detained for obstructing government duties and organizing a provocative procession. The arrests were made across several jurisdictions: Kashimpur (5), Gacha (4), Basan (2), Metro Sadar (1), Tongi East (1), Pubail (1), and DB North (1). All 15 suspects face multiple charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2009 and the Penal Code.
