


An awareness and action plan meeting was held in Muksudpur to ensure the successful implementation of the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign 2026. The meeting brought together government officials, health professionals, and local media representatives to discuss strategies for improving child nutrition, strengthening immunity, and reducing the risks associated with malnutrition.
The meeting was held on Tuesday (June 23) at 10:00 AM in the conference hall of Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex. It was organized by the Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex under the implementation of the National Nutrition Services (NNS), the Institute of Public Health Nutrition (IPHN), and the Directorate General of Health Services under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Raihan Islam Shovon, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer of Muksudpur, and moderated by Dr. Dip Saha, Medical Officer of the Upazila Health Complex. Muksudpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mahmud Ashik Kabir attended the event as the chief guest.
During the meeting, participants discussed the importance of the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign, implementation strategies, management of distribution centers, ensuring children's participation, and raising public awareness. Emphasis was also placed on coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure the campaign's success.

Others present included Hafez Monirul Islam, Imam of the Muksudpur Health Complex Mosque; Shamsul Arefin Mukta, Joint General Secretary of Muksudpur Press Club; Paresh Biswas, Office Secretary; along with health officials, journalists, and representatives from various sectors.
The meeting was informed that extensive preparations have been taken across Muksudpur's one municipality and sixteen unions for the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign 2026. Under the campaign, 33,960 children aged 6 to 59 months will receive red Vitamin A capsules, while 5,426 children aged 6 to 11 months will be administered blue Vitamin A capsules.
Speaking to journalists, Dr. Raihan Islam Shovon stated that Vitamin A plays a vital role in protecting children's eyesight, supporting physical growth, strengthening immunity, and preventing complications caused by malnutrition. He urged all parents and guardians to bring their children to the nearest designated center on the scheduled day to receive the Vitamin A capsules.
The speakers called upon public representatives, teachers, religious leaders, media professionals, and local residents to actively support the campaign.
