


A three-day in-house training programme on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has begun at Government Muksudpur College in Gopalganj, aimed at enhancing the ICT skills of the college’s teachers, officers and employees.
Professor Md. Lutfur Rahman the principal of the college inaugurated the training programme at the college campus at 12:00pm on Monday (September 14, 2026).
In his inaugural speech Principal Professor Md. Lutfur Rahman said the modern world is increasingly dependent on information technology. He stressed that there is no alternative to ICT knowledge for developing skilled human resources and making educational and administrative activities more dynamic and modern.
He also said that, particularly amid the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI), it is essential for everyone to have a clear understanding of the proper and responsible use of technology.
Among those present at the inaugural programme were Teacher Council Secretary Mahbub Hasan Babor former Secretary Ariful Islam Raju, Firoz Mahmud, Senior Lecturer Enamul Haque, Kabir Uddin Ahmed and teachers, officers and employees from different departments of the college.
Lecturer Ahmed Hasan Rajib an ICT expert, Lecturer Sushanta Kumar Mondal and Lecturer Shahin Alam are serving as coordinators of the training programme.
The three-day training covers various topics including the modern use of information technology, digital skills development, the application of technology in office management, human resource development and the effective and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI).
Speakers at the training said regular programmes of this kind are important for keeping pace with technology-driven education and administrative systems. Such initiatives will not only enhance the technological skills of teachers, officers and employees but also make educational and administrative activities more efficient and effective.
The participants described the initiative as timely and fruitful.
