


Seventeen pro-Jamaat law officers—seven deputy attorneys general and 10 assistant attorneys general—resigned simultaneously on Monday, June 22.
The officials submitted their resignation letters directly to the Attorney General's Office. Assistant Attorney General Tariqul Islam, one of the resigning officials, confirmed the mass resignation to the media on Tuesday, June 23. The official reason for the sudden departure remains undisclosed.
The seven resigning deputy attorneys general are Yusuf Ali, Shafiqur Rahman, Abdul Karim, Farid Uddin Khan, Golam Rahman Bhuiyan, Asad Uddin, and Tariqul Islam.
The 10 assistant attorneys general are Imrul Kayes Rana, Humayun Kabir Tanim, Abdul Qayyum Bhuiyan, Abdullahil Maruf Fahim, Joadur Rahman, Shamsil Arefin, Mahbuba Akhter Roli, Noor Nabi Ujjal, Al Reza Amir, and Rezaul Islam.
