Heavy Rain Alert: 3 Bangladesh Divisions to Face Showers

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall and gusty winds across three divisions.

According to the 48-hour forecast released at 9:00 am on Sunday (June 21), the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions are expected to experience moderate to heavy downpours through Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country—including the Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal divisions—can expect light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary squalls and lightning during this period.

The weather agency also noted that daytime temperatures may drop slightly nationwide, while nighttime temperatures will remain largely unchanged.
