


The Bheramara Upazila and Municipal units of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) hosted a public reception on Thursday to honor Farida Yasmin, the newly elected Member of Parliament from the reserved women’s seat (Greater Kushtia-Meherpur-Chuadanga).
The event, held in Bheramara, Kushtia, was presided over by Upazila BNP Convener Advocate Touhidul Islam Alam. Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Farida Yasmin MP expressed her gratitude to the local leadership and grassroots activists.
During her speech, Farida Yasmin urged party members to remain steadfast in their political goals. "I call upon everyone to stay united in our struggle to restore democracy and secure the rights of the people," she stated.
The ceremony saw a massive turnout of leaders and activists from the BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechasebak Dal, and other affiliated organizations. The newly elected MP was greeted with a barrage of floral tributes from various party wings.
Key speakers included Upazila BNP Member Secretary Shahajan Ali, Joint Convener Principal Md. Aslam Uddin, and Municipal BNP General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Dablu. The program was moderated by BNP leader Monirul Islam.
