


Member of Parliament for Bhola-2, Alhaj Hafiz Ibrahim, emphasized that sports are vital for developing a healthy, strong, and talented youth. He made these remarks while inaugurating the Primary School Gold Cup Football Tournament on Thursday (May 7) afternoon.
The tournament, organized by the Daulatkhan Primary Teachers’ Association, was held at the Daulatkhan Amirjang Ghaznavi Stadium.
Addressing the gathering, MP Hafiz Ibrahim highlighted that sports are the most effective way to protect the younger generation from drug addiction, social decay, and excessive screen time. He urged parents and educators to involve children in sports alongside their academic studies to ensure they stay on the right path.
Teams from Sukhdev Primary School, Nur Mia Hat Government Primary School, and West Joynagar Government Primary School competed in the event. Following the matches, the MP distributed prizes to the winners.
The event was attended by Upazila Executive Officer Abdullah Khairul Islam Chowdhury, Daulatkhan Primary Education Officer Zahid Uddin, and local leaders including Upazila BNP President Abdul Mannan Mia and Teachers’ Association President Noman.
