Initial Registration for Hajj 2027 Begins on July 27

The initial registration for Hajj 2027 will begin on July 27 and continue until September 24 according to the Bangladesh Ministry of Religious Affairs. The schedule follows the Hajj roadmap announced by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Prospective pilgrims must complete their initial registration within this period by depositing Tk 350,000 through either the government or a private Hajj agency. They must pay the remaining package cost and complete final registration by December 10, 2026. Before the initial registration, applicants must complete a pre-registration by depositing Tk 30,000.

Government applicants can register through the e-Hajj portal (hajj.gov.bd) or at Union Digital Centers, Islamic Foundation divisional and district offices district and upazila model mosques the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office and the Dhaka Hajj Office. Government pilgrims must deposit the registration fee through a Sonali Bank voucher, while private pilgrims must deposit funds into the designated bank account of their selected Hajj agency.

Pilgrims must hold a passport valid until December 31, 2027. During registration they will also need to select their district for training and vaccination Hajj type and package.

Children under 15 years are not eligible for Hajj. Individuals with serious chronic illnesses, including advanced heart lung liver or kidney disease neurological or mental disorders dementia active cancer treatment or contagious diseases such as tuberculosis or hemorrhagic fever are also ineligible. Pregnant women in the final two months of pregnancy or those with high-risk pregnancies will not receive the required fitness certificate.
