Pre-Registration for 2027 Hajj Opens for Bangladeshis

Pre-registration for Bangladeshis planning to perform the 2027 Hajj is now open and will run until September 24. Applicants can complete their initial registration through the e-Hajj system under either government or private arrangements.

To begin the process intending pilgrims must pay a Tk30,000 pre-registration fee followed by a Tk350,000 deposit to secure their initial registration. To complete the final registration the remaining balance for the selected Hajj package must be paid by December 10.

Applicants registering under government management can apply online via the e-Hajj system or in person at Union Digital Centres Islamic Foundation offices district and upazila model mosques, or the Dhaka Hajj Office. These pilgrims must deposit their fees via voucher at any Sonali Bank branch. Those using private arrangements must deposit their funds into their chosen agency's designated bank account details of which are available on the Hajj portal.

Applicants must hold a passport valid until at least December 31, 2027.During initial registration, pilgrims must select their specific Hajj package type of Hajj and preferred district for vaccinations and training. Individuals under 15 years of age are not permitted to perform Hajj. Women with high-risk pregnancies or those in their final two months of pregnancy will not be issued fitness certificates.

Individuals with active infectious diseases (such as tuberculosis or haemorrhagic fever) that pose public health risks are ineligible.

Furthermore those suffering from dementia, severe neurological mental heart lung liver or kidney diseases or cancer patients actively undergoing chemotherapy biological therapy or radiotherapy are barred from participating.
