


The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) has arrested a 60-year-old man accused of raping an 11-year-old disabled girl in Lohagara, Narail.
The suspect, Md. Akhtar Khan, was apprehended Wednesday afternoon from his daughter’s residence in the Panail area of Faridpur. Akhtar, a furniture shop owner at the Alamunsi intersection in Lohagara municipality, had been fugutive since the incident occurred on May 2.
According to the case filed by the victim’s father, the child was allegedly assaulted inside Akhtar’s furniture shop. Following the arrest, RAB-6 handed the suspect over to Lohagara Police Station on Wednesday evening.
Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Rahman confirmed the arrest and stated that the accused would be produced before the court following standard legal procedures.
