The Manbadhikar Sanskriti Foundation (MSF) hosted its quarterly advocacy meeting for the ‘Empowerment Project’ on Tuesday at the Swaad Cafe Conference Room in Chatmohar.
Organized by Bachte Chai Samaj Unnayan Samity and chaired by GEF President Sahida Sultana Lipi, the event focused on human rights and legal accessibility.
Chief Guest was the Pabna District Legal Aid Officer (Senior Assistant Judge) Md. Azharul Islam. Judge Azharul Islam assured attendees that victims would receive "100% service without suffering" and emphasized that the Legal Aid Office is dedicated to resolving complaints swiftly. The meeting presided by District Human Rights Officer Kamal Ahmed.
He urged citizens to be proactive in reporting issues to the police and legal authorities rather than remaining silent. The meeting saw participation from Chatmohar police officials, Upazila officers for Social Services, Women Affairs, and Youth Development, alongside local journalists and project members.
Implemented across 11 unions in Chatmohar, the MSF Empowerment Project operates under the Citizenship CEF Program. It is supported by the Embassy of Switzerland, Global Affairs Canada, and GF Consulting Group.
