Iran launched multiple waves of missiles at Israel on Tuesday, intensifying tensions in the Middle East despite diplomatic efforts to halt the conflict. Air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv, where residential buildings were damaged and rescue teams searched for trapped civilians.
The escalation came a day after US President Donald Trump said talks to end the conflict were “productive.” However, Iranian officials denied any negotiations had taken place, casting doubt on prospects for a deal.
Israeli forces also carried out strikes in Tehran, targeting key military and intelligence facilities, including sites linked to the Revolutionary Guard. Explosions were reported across the Iranian capital.
The conflict, which began with US-Israel strikes on Iran in February over its nuclear programme, has disrupted global energy supplies. Iran has attacked US-linked targets in the region and restricted the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil shipments.
Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts continue behind the scenes, with reports suggesting possible talks in Islamabad involving US and Iranian officials. However, uncertainty remains high, and markets have reacted with volatility as oil prices fluctuate sharply.
