Three Service Chiefs Meet President, Pledge Cooperation for Armed Forces

The chiefs of Bangladesh's three armed services on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban, said a press release.

Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Khondkar Misbah Ul Azim and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan met the President at noon. They congratulated him on assuming office and wished him well for his tenure.

The three chiefs briefed the President on their respective forces' activities and sought his guidance as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in carrying out their duties.

President Alamgir expressed satisfaction with the Armed Forces' performance with noting that the government is working to build a modern with four-dimensional military.

He assured the chiefs of full government cooperation to support the overall development of the Armed Forces and to strengthen their professional capabilities.
