DC Chairs Sand Mahal Management Committee Meeting in Laxmipur

A meeting of the District Sand Mahal Management Committee was held Tuesday afternoon at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room in Laxmipur, chaired by Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate SM Mehedi Hasan.

The meeting reviewed sand mahal management, lease activities and enforcement of government regulations on sand extraction. Officials stressed the need for stronger action against illegal sand extraction and transportation, along with greater responsibility in protecting the environment and public interest.

Deputy Commissioner Mehedi Hasan called for transparency, accountability and strict adherence to government rules in sand mahal operations, urging all concerned officials to perform their duties lawfully and in the public interest.

The meeting was attended by ADC (Revenue) Mahbub Hasan, Assistant Superintendent of Police Abdur Rashed, Water Development Board Sub-Divisional Engineer Md. Nasir Hossain, Department of Environment Assistant Director Harun Or Rashid and Roads and Highways Department Sub-Divisional Engineer Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, along with other district officials.
