The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has thanked the Iranian people, calling recent nationwide rallies a sign of national unity and resistance.
In a statement issued on Saturday (May 2), the IRGC said mass rallies across Iran have strengthened national unity and the country’s “resistance spirit.” It highlighted events marking the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shiite Imam, and the participation of millions in the “Janfada-e-Iran” (Sacrifice for Iran) campaign.
According to the statement, many people have registered their names in readiness to “sacrifice for the country” through this campaign. It added that Iran and its people will not bow to any enemy, and no power can weaken their resolve.
The IRGC described the ongoing rallies as “epic and unprecedented,” claiming they have continued for 40 days following what it called “unprovoked aggression” by the United States and Israel.
The statement also linked the participation to loyalty toward Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, who, it said, assumed office after the death of his predecessor.
It further claimed that the public gatherings have formed a strong national front against what it described as “American-Zionist enemies.” The IRGC said the turnout, especially during Imam Reza’s anniversary, reflected public awareness and responsibility.
Praising citizens for participating despite “psychological and media warfare,” the IRGC said the unity shown would be remembered in the country’s history.
The statement urged continued public participation, saying mass gatherings and military readiness would support national defense and contribute to what it called “final victory.”
