Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has strongly condemned the United States for repeatedly violating the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In a statement released on Saturday he declared that these breaches prove US President Donald Trump’s signature is “utterly worthless.”
Calling coercion, totalitarianism and brutality inseparable elements of US doctrine, Khamenei warned that any American attempts to provoke further conflict would be met with "unforgettable lessons" from the Iranian people and the Resistance Front. He cited the recent resilience of citizens in southern Iran as a testament to this steadfastness.
Amid escalating geopolitical tensions Supreme Leader identified national unity as Iran's most critical priority. He urged citizens, government officials and critics alike to maintain cohesion to protect the nation's independence from a "deceitful American enemy." While acknowledging that constructive criticism is a valuable asset to the government Khamenei cautioned that it must not fracture social unity emphasizing that enemies must not perceive any internal weakness.
Khamenei also reflected on the recent funeral of the martyred former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He described the millions of mourners who gathered across Tehran, Qom and Mashhad as a "historic epic" that showcased the nation's profound loyalty and insight. The massive public turnout he noted, left Iran's adversaries "astonished and fearful."
Expressing gratitude to domestic leaders, religious authorities and international representatives of the Axis of Resistance, Khamenei reiterated that a united Iran remains entirely prepared to defend its sovereignty against foreign hegemony.
