Alamgir receives lifetime achievement award

Veteran actor Alamgir received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Meril-Prothom Alo Awards 2025.

The honour included a crest and a cheque of Tk 300,000, presented by Runa Laila.

Anjan Chowdhury, managing director of Square Toiletries, placed a ceremonial scarf on Alamgir, while Prothom Alo editor Matiur Rahman was also present on stage.

The segment was hosted by Afzal Hossain.

Accepting the award, Alamgir thanked the audience for standing in tribute and said, “I will cherish this for the rest of my life.”
