


A new 51-member executive committee has been formed for the Porsha Upazila branch of the Bangladesh Primary Teachers' Association.
The committee, which will serve a three-year term, was finalized during a meeting held at the Katipur Kalinagar High School conference room on Friday.
Asfaqul Asekin, Headmaster of Katipur Government Primary School, was elected President, while Mohd Abdur Roych Uddin, Acting Headmaster of Somnagar Government Primary School, was named General Secretary. Rabiul Islam, an Assistant Teacher at Mulukdanga Government Primary School, was chosen as the Organizing Secretary.
The election process was overseen by Abul Basar, Headmaster of Ghatnagar Government Primary School, who served as the head of the election board.
Upon their appointment, the newly elected leaders expressed their gratitude to the teaching community. "We are honored by this responsibility and remain committed to working collectively to secure the fair rights of all primary teachers," they stated.
The event saw a significant turnout, with over 200 assistant teachers and headmasters from across the upazila present to support the formation of the new leadership.
