Faridpur Police Arrest Three Men for Gang Rape in Alfadanga

Police have arrested three men following the gang rape of a 23-year-old woman in Alfadanga on Wednesday night.

The victim was allegedly lured to a house under the pretext of marriage before being attacked.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Md. Liton Molla (33), Sabuj Molla (23), and Ali Sharif (20). According to the police complaint, Liton Molla had been in a relationship with the woman for two months. On April 22, he reportedly took her to Sabuj Molla’s residence on a motorcycle, where the three men allegedly assaulted her.

The victim filed a formal case under the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Act on Thursday afternoon. Following the complaint, Alfadanga Police conducted raids and arrested all three suspects by the evening.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Fakir Taizur Rahman confirmed that the victim has been admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Center (OCC) at Faridpur Medical College Hospital for medical examination and support.

The accused are scheduled to be produced before the court on Friday.
