Rashed Kanchan has earned great recognition as a news anchor and analyst on Bangladeshi television. His ability to present complex issues in a simple and engaging manner has made him widely admired by audiences. Through numerous talk shows, special interviews, and live broadcasts, he has consistently demonstrated his journalistic excellence.
Beyond television, he has been an active advocate for journalistic ethics and responsibility. By encouraging young journalists in their professional growth, he continues to promote responsible and ethical journalism. His colleagues regard him as a symbol of professionalism and dedication.
At present, Rashed Kanchan serves as the Executive Director of satellite television channel SATV and the Chief Executive Officer of Rashed Kanchan Corporation, a public relations, branding, and communication agency.
He is also known for his courageous field reporting — notably covering the Iraq war zone in 2003 and reporting from Sierra Leone during the civil war in 2001. Recently, he published a book titled “5C – Corruption, Conspiracy, Capitalism, Contradiction, and Cooperation”, which analyzes 53 years of weaknesses, opportunism, and global perspectives in Bangladesh’s budget system.
On this special day, colleagues, media professionals, and well-wishers are wishing him good health, a long career, and continued success.
