


A reception was given to the meritorious students of Government Girls High School in Gaibandha in the 2025 SSC examination on Thursday. Deputy Commissioner Chowdhury Moazzam Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the event.
The school's headmaster Md. Mehedul Islam presided over the reception, and among others, Assistant Teachers Nasrin Akhter, Delal Hossain, Morning Branch In-charge Saiful Islam, Day Branch In-charge Asma Akhter Banu, meritorious students Oishee Sarkar, Faiza Fadila Prakriti, Sumaiya Tush Sadia, etc. spoke at the event. The event was conducted by Assistant Swapan Kumar Saha.
In his speech as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Chowdhury Moazzam Ahmed wished the students a bright future and said, "It is not enough to achieve meritorious results in the examination, but to achieve meritorious results as human beings. Our society needs good people. Every student should be free from corruption in their working life after completing their education.
In the 2025 SSC, 143 students from this school passed with GPA-5. Sumaiya Islam Nuhin secured first place, Suraiya Sultana Jaiti secured third place and Tahsin Mustari secured 10th place from the Humanities department in the Dinajpur Education Board.
The three students expressed their gratitude to the teachers of the school for securing meritorious positions in the board. The meritorious students were given crests at the ceremony.
